Allen Neal Jones, better known in the ring as A.J. Styles, has long been regarded as one of the world’s greatest professional wrestlers and he’s got a long list of accolades to back that up, including:

1. Despite being known more so as a singles wrestler, A.J. Styles has had immense success as a tag team grappler. He’s won six tag team championships with six different tag team partners, four being NWA Tag Team Championships and two being TNA Tag Team Championships.
2. A.J. Styles was the first ever TNA-contracted wrestler to top Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s annual PWI 500 list, which ranks the top wrestlers of the year.
3. Styles didn’t have the easiest childhood, but was given an opportunity to pursue the sport in college after receiving a wrestling scholarship. To help support his training, Styles took odd jobs including mowing lawns and driving ambulances.
4. During his recent run in New Japan Pro Wrestling, A.J. Styles became the first non-Japanese wrestler to win the IWGP heavyweight title since Brock Lesnar back in 2005. Only four other non-Japanese wrestlers have held the title: Salman Hashimikov, Bob Sapp, Scott Norton, and Vader.

12. Styles has been the TNA champion a whopping 16 times, and he once held the title for 165 days, which is the second longest of any TNA champion.
